South Berks Concert Band is a true community band. Players are drawn from all spheres of the community and membership is open to all. New members are always welcome to try us out. No auditions are held. However, due to the standard of music we play, we recommend that players are at least Grade 6 standard. The best way to find out if we are the band for you is to come along and give us a try! Please let us know if you would like to come to a rehearsal so we can make sure we have music and a chair ready for you.

We currently have space for trumpet and trombone players to join the band. Please contact us if you are interested. At present we have limited availability to accept new members in other sections but will always consider any requests to join. We are normally happy for individuals to come and try us out for a couple of rehearsals, however you may then be added to a waiting list pending a vacancy should you wish to join.

We rehearse every Friday evening from 7.45pm until 10.00pm throughout the year, with the exception of August, Christmas & Good Friday. We have a break during rehearsals at about 9pm.
