Fundraising

Fundraising for charity has always been a major part of the band's activities. Charities including Sue Ryder Care, Macmillan Cancer Relief and the Reading Rotary Club have been the most recent beneficiaries of the band's work.

In 2006 and 2007 over £18,000 was raised with our partner charities.

Financially, the band has been set up as a non-profit making organisation and our income is derived from:

• Paid performances and engagements (see our Perfomances calendar for this year)
• A modest annual subscription from Members & Friends of the Band
• Occasional grant applications
